CONCERNS

Where do your skincare interests lie?

ACNE

Pimples, blackheads, whiteheads - it takes patience and the right combination of products to manage acne prone skin. We’re here for you. From our gentle cleansing products (just say no to harsh scrubbing), to regular exfoliation, to our gel-based moisturizers, we understand that there’s a lot of steps in combatting breakouts. We also can’t say enough about not touching your face during the day or giving yourself extractions, both of which can can cause infections and scaring. Instead, keep a healthy diet, avoid makeup that can clog your pores, and build a routine that heals your skin rather than stresses it out. Our acne-focused products are especially created with all of these concerns in mind. We want you to have clear, calm skin as much as you do!

DRYNESS & DEHYDRATION

Dry or dehydrated skin is one of the most common concerns we hear about, especially when you’re outdoors all day on your horse. What many people don’t know is that dry skin usually means a weaker skin barrier against environmental radicals, which makes us more prone to redness and sensitivity. That’s why we went back to basics and created products specifically designed with different levels of hydration to support your skin barrier. Give us a try and you’ll see what we mean!

FIRST SIGNS OF AGING

As we grow older our epidermal layer gradually becomes thinner, which creates a limited capacity for our cells to retain moisture - that’s when our skin starts to lose its suppleness and develop lines. The good news is, it’s never too late to become invested in your skin. The other good news is, our anti-aging skincare routine can help target your skin concerns. Maybe you’re just starting to see the early signs of aging. Maybe you’re looking to visibly reduce fine lines that’ve appeared out of nowhere. Either way, aging skin is a normal part of growing older, but it doesn’t mean you don’t have options. Our anti-aging products target everything from skin elasticity to dryness and fine lines - because first wrinkle hurts!

NORMAL

Normal skin doesn’t mean healthy skin, but it does mean that it can require less specialized care than other skin types. That being said, even normal skin needs balanced moisture, sun protection, and a fair fight against environmental pollutants and free radicals. So what do we recommend? Sunblock of course, but we also like a gentle cleanser to get daily grime and dirt off your skin so it can breathe. Exfoliating to remove dead skin cells will help with that glow we all want - and a light, hydrating moisturizer can create a healthy barrier between your skin and unwanted, outside factors. If you’re lucky enough to have normal skin, make it healthy with an easy routine that keeps it that way. And don’t forget the sunblock!

OILY

Oily skin and breakouts can be caused by genetics, stress, hormones, and external environmental factors - all of which lead to an imbalance of sebum secretion. This imbalance shows up on our faces as clogged pores, black & white heads, and inflammation. But you can’t just avoid oily products and think that will save the day. That’s why our formulas are carefully created with a balance of humectants and non-comedogenic oils to deeply hydrate, while also activating the mechanism of "oil attracts oil, oil melts oil" to effectively soften, loosen, and lift accumulated sebum from your pores. This in turn achieves a clarifying action and enhances the metabolism of breakouts for more rapid recovery. And if all that’s too scientific for you, just give it a try and see what we mean!

sensitive

How do you know if you have sensitive skin? Is it red? Dry? Are you prone to rashes? Do products burn or itch or make you break out? If this sounds like you then you’ll want a routine that doesn’t include harsh chemicals, fragrances or acids. Sensitive skin still needs the same care that regular skin does, but you should use cold water instead of hot, pat your face dry instead of rubbing, and find the right products. Ours for instance, are carefully formulated to avoid stripping away natural oils or stressing out your skin. Instead, we focus on pure ingredients that will protect and hydrate. Same goes for SPF. The goal is to safeguard your skin, not irritate it!

SUN EXPOSURE

The sun feels great, but it’s a real brute when it comes to skin damage. When you’re spending hours in the outdoors it’s essential that you start your day with sunblock. Not only does is prevent sunburn, but it also creates a UV protection that helps shield you from inflammation, discoloration, and pigmentation changes. Nobody wants that. Beyond sunblock, we also suggest hats, long-sleeved clothing, timing your rides when the sun isn’t at its highest, and wearing sunglasses. All of these can help protect your skin and keep it safe. And last, but not least, it’s important to take care of your skin at the end of the day with moisturizers and masks that replenish lost hydration from sun exposure. Avoiding sun damage is one of our biggest passions!

TEENAGE SKIN

Adolescent skin can be normal, dry, oily or a combination. Given its youthfulness, teen skin tends to be healthier than adult skin. The sooner you start to protect your skin, the longer it will stay healthy and beautiful. Kalio Skincare products are designed for individuals 6 months old and beyond, offering comprehensive protection for skin of all ages.

CHILD-SAFE SKINCARE

Preventative skincare for children is not just vanity, it’s about instilling healthy habits, providing protection, and fostering a positive relationship with self-care. By incorporating a gentle and age-appropriate skin care routine into a child’s daily life, caregivers can contribute to the overall health and well-being of their little ones, laying the foundation for a lifetime of healthy skincare practices.
